Multitude Insights 2025: Year in Review

Matt White

Note from Matt

As a founder, I’m often pretty heads-down; building and testing our product, working with customers, and solving the day-to-day operational challenges of scaling a business. But, as we approach the end of the year it felt like a good time to reflect on the amazing progress the team has made this year.

In 2025 BLTN proved itself in the field for the first time. Serious agencies adopted the platform, officers used it daily, and we saw tangible results connecting cases that would have otherwise remained isolated. The numbers tell the story: over 1000% user growth, tens of thousands of bulletins shared every week, and 250+ cases connected by SmartLink AI.

This is all happening as the law enforcement technology market is exploding—from Axon's advancements in drones and RTCCs to Flock Safety's nationwide expansion and others using AI in increasingly useful ways. This is all critical work that makes the industry stronger.

But here’s the rub from my seat: the data capture problem is solved. The coordination problem isn’t.

Agencies have more data than ever—CAD, RMS, Body Cam, LPR, RTCC Comms Etc. The challenge isn’t capturing information; it’s making sure the right person sees it at the right time to close the case. Now that data is everywhere, this is fundamentally a workflow and collaboration problem.

That’s where BLTN comes in. We’re not just building features to make rapid intelligence sharing possible; we’re building the infrastructure that law enforcement has needed for decades—a nationwide platform that makes it possible to rapid create, disseminate, and connect cases, incidents, and leads. By enabling cops to work together better, we are going to dramatically improve officer safety, situational awareness, and productive hours with the ultimate goal of improving safety.

Looking ahead, 2026 will be about scale: more agencies, more connections, more cases solved, and more communities kept safe. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year. We're just getting started.

More Agencies Connected = More Cases Solved

  • Dozens of agencies across 10+ states are now on BLTN. When you post a bulletin, it reaches agencies that might have the lead you need.
  • Tens of thousands of bulletins viewed every week — Your cases get more eyes, from more agencies, faster.
  • Over 1,000 posts updated in real-time — When a missing person is found (50%+ of cancellations), everyone sees it immediately. No wasted hours chasing closed leads.
  • Searches up 10x, saved searches up 6x — Find what you need in seconds. No email chains, no phone tag across jurisdictions.
  • 250+ cases connected by SmartLink since August — AI matches vehicles, suspects, and MOs across agencies before you even search. Connections you wouldn't make otherwise.

What We Shipped in 2025

  • SmartLink — Always-on AI that scans bulletins and surfaces case connections across agencies. 100+ links in the first month.
  • Sharing & Collaboration — MagicLink for secure sharing outside BLTN. Native iOS sharing so officers can send bulletins from their phone. Fast, secure, built for how patrol works.
  • Search & Intelligence — Boolean operators, faster results, enhanced maps to visualize connected cases nationwide. Better license plate recognition and mobile filters.
  • Security & Compliance — Achieved TXRAMP and SOC 2 certifications.

SmartLink in Action:

Since launching in August, SmartLink has connected over 200 cases. Here are three examples:

  • Northeast metro: Linked 4+ scooter thefts across districts by identifying a shared MO that detectives hadn't yet connected.
  • Midwest: Automatically connected bulletins about a militia group plotting to destroy weather radar sites. Alerted both agencies, led to FBI involvement and a domestic terrorism investigation.
  • Southern California: Linked vehicle break-ins across multiple agencies, detected a unique MO (stealing only credit cards, leaving wallets), and flagged a movement pattern that enabled a coordinated sting operation.

We’re building for the long term

  • BLTN was featured in The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Police1, and WFXT Boston 25 News.
  • Bessemer Venture Partners named us one of the next-generation platforms leading the $130B public safety market. Why that matters: agencies need partners who will be here for the long haul. We're building infrastructure that law enforcement will rely on for decades.
  • Our team grew in 2024, including military and law enforcement veterans with over 115 years combined experience who understand operational reality and mission-critical systems.
  • We also attended conferences across the country and wrapped the year at IACP in Denver, where the message from agencies was clear: they don't need more data—they need smarter ways to share it.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We're not slowing down.

In 2026, you'll see:

  • New partnerships that expand BLTN's reach and interoperability with the tools agencies already use
  • New customers as we scale nationwide and bring more agencies into the network
  • New features that make intelligence sharing even faster, smarter, and more actionable while supporting more complex workflows
  • New roles as we grow the team—check our open positions if you want to help build the future of law enforcement coordination

The opportunity is massive. Law enforcement has needed a nationwide collaboration layer for decades. We're building it.

If you're an agency interested in BLTN, or if you know someone who should be, reach out. Let's talk about how we can help you share bulletins, connect cases, close them faster, and keep your community safer.

Here's to 2026.
