We’ve just released new updates to SmartLink, Magic Link and the BLTN iOS app to help you connect intel and close more cases.
Investigators are buried in data — reports in CAD, records in RMS, PDFs buried in inboxes. The data is there, but with no way to connect the dots, cases stall.
SmartLink fixes that. BLTN’s newest AI tool works like an always-on analyst— scanning every bulletin in real time, analyzing case details, MOs, vehicles, and narrative patterns, and surfacing links across agencies and jurisdictions.
Since launching last month, SmartLink has already surfaced 100+ connections. And now it’s even better:
See SmartLinks at a glance → Connected posts are now grouped so you can flip through quickly and spot what’s relevant.
Save and unsave SmartLinks → Now you can keep the links you need to track, and clear out the ones you don’t.
Filter SmartLinks → Narrow by keyword, timeframe, or district to find exactly what you’re looking for.
MagicLink lets you share BLTNs with people outside your agency. Recipients now get a guided view that makes your bulletin easier to read and act on.
🗺️ Track BLTNs nationwide
Easily visualize connected BLTNs, across the country. You can now spot clusters, track activity across jurisdictions, and see your intel in geographic context.
📸 Optimized License Plate Recognition
BLTN can now read license plates more accurately, even from blurry or low-light images. It also automatically captures vehicle make, model, and color from the plate read —these details are now searchable in your BLTN feed.
📱 Improved Mobile Search
We improved search and filters in the BLTN iOS app, making it faster to narrow results and pull up the right bulletin from your phone. Get the app.
